Pirate Day
Who: All registered Girl Scouts and their families
What: Girls and their families are invited to start the year off with a day of fun and excitement at Belmont Outdoor Adventure Center. Participants will sing pirate songs, receive a pirate name, climb the cargo net, make pirate crafts and much more.
It will be a day of non-stop pirate fun. All Girl Scouts and family wishing to attend must use the registration form.
Where: Belmont Preserve and Outdoor Education Center
Cost: $2.00 per person
Minimum/Maximum: 10/100
Note: This event can be attended by individual girls and their families. The whole troop does not have to attend for the girls to attend this event.

Indiana University Vollyball
Who: All registered Girl Scouts and their families
What: Girls enjoy an Indiana University Women’s Volleyball game. Girl Scouts will form a tunnel for the team to run out on to the court during the pre-game warm-ups; a troop will present the NGWSD trophy during the pre-game and, there will be a post game autograph session. All Girl Scouts and family wishing to attend must use the registration form.
Where: Indiana University Bill Armstrong Stadium, Bloomington, IN
Cost: $3.00 for each Girl Scouts and family member.

Discover Sping Mill State Park
Who: Brownie Girl Scout and Junior Girl Scout Troops
What: Join us at Spring Mill State Park for a day of fun! Receive an event patch, Gus Grissom Memorial Patch and earn a badge or try-it. Troops wishing to attend must use the registration form

Indiana University Women's Soccer Day
Who: All registered Girl Scouts and their families
What: Girls enjoy an Indiana University Women’s Soccer game and post game autograph session. Check in is at 11:00 AM. Free Soccer Clinic at 11:30 – 12:30
All Girl Scouts and family wishing to attend must use the registration form
Where: Indiana University Bill Armstrong Stadium, Bloomington, IN
Cost: $3.00 for currently registered Girl Scouts and their family members or friends. The money is due to the council office with the registration form by 10/5/07.

Adventure Skills Day
Who: Junior Girl Scouts and Girls 11-17
What: Have you ever wanted to learn more about using a compass? How about learning more about outdoor sports? Spend the day at Belmont Preserve and Outdoor Education Center and earn the Finding Your Way badge and earn requirements for the Adventure Sports Badge if you are a Junior Girl Scout. Girls 11-17 can earn requirements towards the Orienteering and High Adventure Interest Projects. Those wishing to attend must use the registration form

Birthday Bash Overnight
Who: All registered Girl Scout Troops
What: To celebrate Juliette Low’s Birthday, Girl Scouts of Tulip Trace are having a camp out! This is a unique experience for troops. All programming and meals will be provided for the girls, the troop leaders will just need to provide adult supervisions to meet safety wise ratios. Troops will choose their activities while there. Some possible activities are: high ropes, archery, ecology, outdoor living skills and much more. Please join us for a fantastic weekend. Troops wishing to attend must use the registration form

Who: Junior Girl Scouts
What: Join other Junior Girl Scouts from all over the council at Brown County State Park to earn the Hiking Junior Badge. We’ll hike a few of the trails, practice using a compass, learn trail first aid and learn more about the sport of hiking. It will be a fun and active day. Indoor Rock Climbing
Who: Junior Girl Scouts and Girls 11-17
What: Enjoy indoor climb time at Hoosier Heights Indoor Climbing Gym in Bloomington.
Each troop must furnish adults to belay (control the rope to which a climber is attached) participants. Two adults per troop or one adult per individually registered girl must attend to meet Safety-Wise guidelines for this activity (refer to pages 99 - 100 of the Program and Traning Guide). Training will be provided by Hoosier Heights' staff. Each participant and their parent or guardian must also sign a special release form from Hoosier Heights that will be sent with your event confirmation. Who: Junior Girl Scouts
What: Women in Technology from the Columbus area will bring science and math alive for Junior Girl Scouts in the second annual event. This program is designed to provide girls in grades 4 through 6 with hands-on experience in the sciences as well as an informal opportunity to interact with professional women who work in a variety of science related fields. Girls will earn the Technology Badge by participating in this event. Troops wishing to attend must use the registration form

Who: All registered Girl Scouts and their families
What: Girls enjoy pre-game activities focusing on a variety of women’s sports with Indiana University’s women’s athletic teams prior to packing the hall to cheer on the Lady Hoosiers. Tip off is at 2:00 PM; doors will open for pre-game activities at noon. All Girl Scouts and family wishing to attend must use the registration form

What: Join the Department of Bands Honorary Music Sorority along with members of Indiana University’s Marching Hundred for a music badge workshop. By participating in this event, you will receive either the Sounds of Music Try-It and Making Music Try-it for Brownie Girl Scouts or Making Music Badge and Music Fun for Junior Girl Scouts. Those wishing to attend must use the registration form
This is a hands on event where the Girl Scouts will be actively participating and getting a chance to meet the instruments.

Indiana University Women's Little 500
Who: Junior Girl Scout and Girl Scout 11-17 Troops
What: A lucky Girl Scout troop will have the opportunity to be paired with Wright Cycledelics women’s team as the Girl Scout sponsored team. Activities with your team are limited only to your imagination! The troop selected can invite team members to a troop meeting to learn about bicycle safety, have team members share their training experiences, watch team practices and qualifications, help design the t-shirts to be worn by their team’s fans, paint and design the ‘pit board’ that their team uses the day of the race, and/or send notes/cards of encouragement to team members. What: Enjoy a fun-filled day of climbing on the climbing wall sides of the new Tango Tower at Belmont Preserve and Outdoor Education Center! This is a drop-in event, so come and climb and leave when you’re tired. Two adults per troop and one adult per individually registered girl must attend to meet Safety-Wise guidelines for this activity. Pre-registration for all individual girls as well as troops or groups is required. Participants and their parent or guardian must also sign an assumption of risk form in order to participate. Dozin' with the Dinos!
Who: The first 23 Brownie or Junior Girl Scouts, leaders, and moms
What: The lights dim as you and your flashlight explore the rituals of ancient Egyptian culture. Next, you prowl an African savannah with giraffes, hippos, and man-eating lions. Before you know it, you’re rubbing elbows with royalty in the Palace in Bamum, Africa. By the end of the night, you are too tired to skin the fish that you and your Inuit friend have caught for breakfast.
Bring your sleeping bag and explore one of the most exciting spots in the city of Chicago! Overnights are a unique opportunity for children 6-12 to spend the night at The Field Museum. The evening begins with a workshop based on a Field Museum exhibition. Afterwards, we will watch a performance, munch on a snack, enjoy late night activities, and explore the Museum’s wondrous exhibitions, including Inside Ancient Egypt by flashlight. Group Overnights begin at 5:45pm and end the following morning at 9am.
