2008 National Council Session
51st Convention of Girl Scouts of the USA
October 30 - November 2, 2008

What a thrill for Indiana when the 2008 Girl Scout National Convention will be held in Indianapolis! Girl Scouts from all across the nation AND the world will come together to deliberate important things for Girl Scouting and just to share during this changing time.  As is always the case there are numerous ways for troops who reside in the hosting state to participate.  And, we’ve created this web connection to get ready and to keep you informed.

Dates for the convention are October 30 – November 2, 2008.   Specific needs and positions have not been formulated yet (and will be posted when they are).  Once we have more definite information, a staff contact will be appointed and will be your key contact in keeping you informed and providing relevant information.

Your troop may be interested in taking a group of girls and adults to the convention.  So, start thinking about putting aside some of your troop funds to help support this effort.  You’ve got two more years to budget and plan!

The 2008 Girl Scout National Convention needs volunteers! There are 1500 adult volunteer spots and 500 girl volunteer spots. See Volunteering FAQ for more information.
