Program

The Girl Scout Cookie Sale Program has been a long-standing tradition for Girl Scouts throughout the years and has remained as the world’s premier entrepreneurial program for girls. From communication and budgeting to responsibility and teamwork, girls learn skills that are useful in every stage of life. The cookie program is just one more powerful (and fun!) way that Girl Scouts grow into strong, competent women!

Why are Girl Scout Cookies so important?

The Girl Scout Cookie Sale Program helps us in our mission to build girls of courage, confidence and character, who make the world a better place.

  • The Girl Scout Cookie Sale Program allows Girl Scouts to practice life skills such as goal-setting, money management, teamwork, presentation skills, interpersonal communication, decision-making and so much more—all while having fun!
  • Customers get a great product plus the opportunity to support Girl Scouting in their own area.
  • The proceeds from the cookie sale program directly support the council and the girls.

Learning Life Skills

Many successful business women today say that their first business experience came from their participation in the Girl Scout Cookie Sale Program. The program gives girls the opportunity to practice useful life skills like planning, decision-making and budgeting. During the program, girls are members of a team working towards a common goal, with each girl striving to do her best.

Every Girl Scout troop is encouraged to set a goal for the 2008 Cookie Sale Program. Setting goals helps girls to plan and focus, allowing for a more successful sale. As girls earn funds from the cookie sale program, they may apply these proceeds towards projects, programs and more.

Making It Count

All of the proceeds from the Girl Scouts of Tulip Trace Council Cookie Sale Program remain within the council. This revenue is used to benefit girls: troops receive a portion of the proceeds directly and the remainder of the funds allows Tulip Trace Council to better serve girls in southern Indiana.

Revenue from the cookie sale program helps Girl Scouts of Tulip Trace Council to:
Recruit, train and recognize volunteer leaders
Provide financial assistance for girls and volunteers
Improve and maintain Belmont Preserve and Outdoor Education Center
Keep event and camp fees for all members to a minimum

Troops earn direct funds through the cookie program too!
