And the Award Goes To…
We set the stage for girls to achieve a stellar performance during the 2008 Girl Scout Cookie Sale program and they responded! We sold a total of 476,604 boxes in 2008, surpassing our goal of 425,000 boxes!
Special congratulations to Abby Allen of Troop 353, Monroe-Batchelor Service Unit for winning our 2008 cookie mascot, Daisy DeMille, and the director’s chair! Abby sold more than 350 boxes on her initial order by going door-to-door in her neighborhood.
The "Reel" Girl Scout Cookie Program
The cookie program has been a longstanding tradition for Girl Scouts throughout the years and has remained as the world’s premier entrepreneurial program for girls. From communication and budgeting to responsibility and teamwork, girls learn skills that work in every stage of life. The cookie program is just one more powerful (and fun!) way that Girl Scouts grow into strong, competent women!
