How much do cookies cost?
Cookies cost $3 per box.

Why do cookies have different names and cost different amounts in other areas?
There are two bakeries licensed to make Girl Scout cookies: ABC Bakers and Little Brownie Bakers. Each council across America can choose their bakery and their price. Girl Scouts of Tulip Trace Council works with Little Brownie Bakers and sells cookies for $3 per box.

How are recognitions chosen?
In the spring and summer, girls across the council are asked to vote on cookie recognition items at day camps, special events and online. This year, more than 400 girls council-wide voted for their favorite items for the 2008 cookie program. These items are then placed at levels to help girls achieve goals. Check out the 2008 Earned Recognition Program in the Recognition section.

What’s the difference between a package, a box and a case of cookies?
The words box and package are used interchangeably. A case of cookies consists of 12 packages or boxes.

Where can I get goal-setting and program ideas for my girls?
Use your Cookie Q Cards and Cookie College packet for simple, fun and inexpensive program ideas for your troop. Both resources were included in your troop packet that you received at cookie training.

How can I recognize the girls in my troop for all their hard work?
The council earned recognition program was designed to reward girls for their hard work, so that troop funds can be used for trips, programs, memberships, uniforms and more. If you still want to purchase small items to celebrate your troop’s success, the Make It A Hit! megaphone charm, Bichon Frise figurine and cookie t-shirt are available in the council shop, beginning January 7, 2008.

How can I recognize the adults in my troop who have helped with the cookie program?
Adult volunteer cookie patches are available in the council shop, beginning January 7, 2008.

How do I schedule booth sales?
Contact your service unit product sale manager to set up booth sales. Always stay within your own service unit and council boundaries. For more booth sale information, see page 11 of your Leader Guide.

Where can I get extra forms?
Contact your service unit product sale manager for extra forms or download forms from the Forms section.

Can girls keep taking orders after the initial order is submitted?
Yes, girls are encouraged to continue taking orders after initial orders are submitted. These orders are sometimes called catch-up orders. Girls can use their pocket order form or goal-getter order form.

How do I fill catch-up orders or get cookies for booth sales?
You can fill catch-up orders and get cookies for booth sales through the council cookie cupboards, located in Bloomfield, Bloomington, Columbus and Greensburg. At all cupboards, troop sale managers must show their completed and signed Cupboard Card and sign for full cases. Cookies cannot be returned to any cupboard. For cupboard hours and specific locations click here.

Can I swap cookie varieties at cookie cupboards?
You can swap full cases of cookie varieties only at the Bloomington cookie cupboard and only after March 3, 2008.

Can I purchase individual boxes of Girl Scout cookies from the council?
Yes, you can purchase individual boxes of cookies from the council shop.

How many cases of cookies will fit in my car?
For a complete list of how many cookies will approximately fit within various types of vehicles, please see page 17 of your Leader Guide. Remember to pick up cookies with an empty car—no passengers or miscellaneous items.

What should I do with leftover cookies?
If you are left with additional cookies at the end of the sale, complete the Unsold Cookie Form and submit it to your service unit product sale manager with your final paperwork. The form will give you three options: donate the cookies, use them as a troop snack or continue selling. No matter which option you choose, the troop must pay for all cookies by March 14 or payment will be considered late. For more information, see page 15 of your Leader Guide.

What other Try-its and Badges can my girls earn in conjunction with the cookie program?
Girls can earn lots of Try-its, Badges, Interest Project Awards and STUDIO 2B charms in conjunction to the cookie program. See page 13 of your Leader Guide for a complete list.

Where can I find the guidelines for the Cookie Activity Pin?
The Cookie Activity Pin guidelines are listed in entirety in your Cookie College packet. Cookie pins can be purchased at the council shop.

Who do I contact when I have questions or a problem?
Always contact your service unit product sales manager first when you have questions or need assistance. If the service unit product sales manager is unable to help you, they will contact the council or ask you to contact the council directly.

When will we receive our girl recognitions?
Initial order incentives are passed out at the service unit cookie delivery in February. Final order recognitions are shipped to the service unit product sale managers on or after April 28, 2008.
