Belmont Preserve and Outdoor Education Center
The Belmont Preserve and Outdoor Education Center consists of 283 acres of rolling hills in Brown County. All facilities at Belmont Preserve and Outdoor Education Center are available for use by Girl Scout affiliates, community, corporate and private groups. To learn more about accomodations, pricing or make a reservation, contact Erin Policinski erin@tuliptrace.org at the Tulip Trace Council Service Center.
The land is wooded and covered with high ridges and deep valleys, and is some of the most beautiful land in southern Indiana. Facilities include the Clementine Miller Tangeman Memorial Bridge House, which consists of two troop houses, each with three sleeping cabins – modern facilities and showers, indoor toilets, kitchen, bunks, A/C and heat; the Ponderosa – a large historical log cabin, which is set in a ridge and has heat, running water, and latrines; a teepee site – three teepees that can be used from April through November and camping sites appropriate for tents. Platform tent camping is also available on the West Ridge.
